Sandra Bussin's Voting Record:Votes supporting the community position: 3Votes against the community position: 2
Sandra Bussin has a strong local base and that was reflected in her decisive victory in this election. Her voting record on the last council shows that she consistently supported the community position. Bussin is a hard worker who is always on top of the issues. It is those reasons that led David Miller to appoint her as one of the Deputy Mayors. Bussin is very interested in the waterfront and we can expect to see her play a leadership role in the coming struggle around the land use in the Portlands. Sandra Bussin is one of three Deputy Mayors. She is the Vice Chair of the Works Committee and is on the Policy and Finance Committee, the Striking Committee and the Toronto Transit Commission. Ward 32 encompasses the Beaches, as well as Little India along Gerrard Street. The average household income in the ward is $73,019, compared to a city-wide average of $69,125. About one-third of the ward's residents are first-generation immigrants; this is the lowest proportion of all the wards in the city.
