Involved for 10 years with the Centennial Community and Recreation Association, Cowbourne has been active and vocal around numerous Scarborough causes, including the clean up of the asbestos-ridden Johns Manville Plant and the development of the Port Union Waterfront Trail. She is a community representative who believes in openness at City Hall.
